Some of my Warli art…

Warli painting have very basic shapes – circles, triangles, squares and rectangles. Its an traditional art of “warli” people belonging to nothern Maharashtra. Its very simple to understand and learn drawing. Most of them have fixed color combinations – Brown background and white painting (the most common ones).

The art symbolizes gathering of people, Indian deities, farms and animals, music – everything about a community. Now-a-days it is becoming trendy, people are painting it over the walls of their compunds, in home lobbies and that is really attractive.

Till now I have made few drawings on river side gatherings, trees and animals. Have made bookmarks and keychains 😉

Next target is Madhubani art 😀

In this new year live each day with zest, daily grow and try to be highest and the best!!!

This reminds me my school & college days. Every year we used to celebrate GuruPornima and used to organise various activities like felicitation of teachers, speeches, elocution competition and so on. Being “headgirl” in school,I was always one of the organisers for such functions. Preparing for speech used to be a difficult task for me those days, I used to get tired reading and writing.

Few of my teachers used to give lotz & lotz of instructions : Tejaswini do this , do that , hehe…. olden days bring smiles!

Later,in college, we used to dressup in saree and goto teach juniors the subjects that we used to like. Instead of teaching I always arranged quizes and general talks in classrooms…Preparing for speech was again a duty for me in college also.

I remember my all teachers , right from nursery till end of my college days, sometimes I read my old autograph book (the one we used to get filled up on send off day from all teachers!) where teachers posted comments/best wishes for me…

But what I think is why only one day to remember your gurus ?   They should/must be remembered each and every day…what say?  🙂

The learning phase in life…is continued forever!
